Here are a few free online resources that might be of interest to club members.

I've known about the following site for quite a while. It's basically just a really good collection of combination puzzles from grandmaster games:

http://wtharvey.com/prodex.html

Here is a link to a download for Fred Reinfeld's 1001 Brilliant Ways to Checkmate in pgn:

I only solve practical combinations taken from actual games, but if you like mind stretching compositions, here is a page that has a list of free composition books to download:

The following is an awesome site and probably the best free chess resource on the internet, with lots of free articles from great instructors and a large archive. This includes regular articles of annotated games, lessons by Dovoretsky, and endgames etc:

http://www.chesscafe.com/

Here is a cool download of a pgn set of endgame strategy lessons:

http://www.endgame.nl/strategy.htm

And this is one of the finest sets of puzzles I have found:

http://dejascacchi.altervista.org/exercises.htm

Most of this was found via the Chess Portal, and there's plenty of other good stuff to find on there:

I hope you enjoy these great resources. Very Happy
