WELCOME TO PORTSMOUTH CHESS CLUB!!Portsmouth Chess Club is situated at the RNOC Club just off of the large roundabout at the north of Commercial Road; the address is:Royal Navy Old Comrades Club, 86 Lake Rd, Portsmouth, PO1 4HF We meet on WEDNESDAYS at 7.30pm, and stay anytime up to 11pm, although everyone is free to arrive and leave whenever they like. We a friendly club and always welcome new players regardless of experience or playing strength. The club has players of all strengths. You can drop by a few times to try out the club before deciding if you want to join, and the club fees are very cheap because of the good deal we have with the RNOC club, so it is less than £20 a year. We play in the Portsmouth District Chess Leagues and have between two and three teams depending on the number of members at the time.
