New Chess BLOG

I've made a new chess analysis Blog where I am analysing positions from my games, (such as a position of bishop + rook vs bishop + 2 passed pawns where the pawns are winning. I could hardly believe it when Fritz told me I had missed this win when I thought I was losing badly, and didn't even think I had drawing chances).

The address is:

Please feel free to come and have a look.

Hello Edd, nice blog
Dave

Great blog Edd. I found the analysis of our game very interesting esp the blunders at the end. Laughing On the whole a draw seemed the right result.

Cheers guys.

I agree Dave; we both made blunders and probably both should have lost the game at some point, so we can both be happy with a draw. I'm glad you liked the analysis.

My chess blog has been going for nearly 6 months now and has 24 articles. I encourage my fellow chess players to take a look at it and make suggestions about how I can improve it or ideas about things to analyse. Also if anyone has played a game against me that they want analysed and put on the blog, I will do this for any requests I get.

One idea I had was to analyse one (or some) chess 960 (Fischerandom) games between GMs, or ones I have played online. [I think everyone a the chess club should be encouraged to learn chess 960 and give it a try as it is a fun chess variant and one that is true to the game, unlike all other chess variants. In fact I may try and organise a 960 tournament].

Also, if anyone has a league game they have played that they want analysed, I am interested to do this, as it would be interested to see some games of other club players.
