2nd Round games so far. Had a good look round while they were playing and some looked very interesting. Would like to see Richard/Ian's game and Edds/Simons. So if you can be bothered bung them up.

This isn't the neatest presentation, but I don't think there are any formatting options on this forum. The columns show, respectively; placing, name, total points, percent, current grade, grading performance, grade difference (between performance and current grade), and points from rounds 1 to 8.

The top 5 were each on different point totals which is quite rare. Overall most players had a decent tournament and played around their grade, with many getting grading performances over their grade. Everyone managed to score a fair number of points, with even the lowest percentage being 25% is not so bad.

After 3 rounds, Darren was in the lead with 2.5, followed by myself, Richard McMaster, Simon, and Barrie on 2. After 4 rounds, Darren was again in the lead with 3.5 and Simon was sole second with 3. Darren suffered a loss in round five though, and afterwards Simon was in first place with 4/5, followed by myself, Darren, and Richard McMaster on 3.5/5. After round six I had caught Simon and we both were on 4.5/6, followed by Richard McMaster on 4/6. After round seven I had jumped in the lead with 5.5/7, followed by Simon and Richard McMaster on 5/7. This meant a win in the final round would secure me sole first, and I managed this in my game against Brian, finishing half a point ahead of Richard McMaster, thanks to a final winning streak of four.

Thanks to Dave Black for running a great 8 round swiss. I felt this was better than the previous 6 round system.
